Breeders and Hatcheries in Oklahoma

What kind of bird are you looking for? Do you want older birds? Chicks? Many people order from a hatchery. I found a lady near me. If you order from a hatchery Ideal is pretty cheap. Cackle is too expensive if you only want a few birds. If you want started birds or want to pick them up locally, I would go to your state thread. Feed stores and TSC carry chicks in the spring. Do you know how many your coop can hold? Oh! By the way, :welcome

Not really looking for any specific type of bird but do want to start with chicks. Our coop can hold up to 15 birds.
Thank you for the information!

Ideal in Texas is the nearest large hatchery. Should take 1-2 days to receive chicks. They have a large selection of breeds and the ability to sex chicks. If you want to stay local, many will not have a large internet presence. They might only be on FB, CL.. They might only offer straight run too. If you want a specific breed, go to the breed club website. They will list breeders and it will usually say if they sell eggs, chicks or adult birds.

I'll take pictures when I get back down to the barn.
25 EEs. About 1/2 normal brown. Some interesting colors in the other 1/2.
25 mixed brown egg layers. I have never been brave enough to do a bargain mix as I stick with dual purpose "heritage" breeds that I can sell locally. I can identify BA, BR, BO and RIR. There are 8 yellow chicks that I am unsure of because they don't really match the breeds that were available. We'll see. Prices were $2.10 (locally I pay $4.15) so not much at stake.
