Okay, so I am wanting some advice on breeding pens. I want to have 4 breeds that I want to work on, Dominique, Belgian Quail D'anver Bantam, Silver Phoenix, and Salmon Faverolle. I was thinking of building a 40'x 16' Building. It would have a 10'x16' Storage area/ Brooder & incubator area, and then ten 6x6 coops, two of which will be used for turkey and ducks instead of chickens. The other 8 pens will be for two of each breed. Each of the chicken pens I planned to have a 6'x32' Run. Does this seem like too much? I have looked at many breeding pens and they are much smaller. I plan to house one rooster and 6-8 hens. Any advice will be much appreciated!
