Well first ofall cross breeds do not breed true, meaning that you don't get birds that look like the parents. Also it's very hard to get rock cross birds to breeding age with enough health to breed, they have very high mortality rate, and the rossters get too heavy and have leg problems often so they can't breed.

Your better off to do a cross of heritage breeds such as the heavys crossed with a cornish. Lots of threads here on what folks are trying, look through the pages.
