So Sid recently discovered that he can "do it" with the girls. i have seen him get nibbles more than a few times, she was laying already so i didnt pay much attention. but i noticed just yesterday that my girl Lilly (who just finished molt) has some featheres missing off the back of her head. obviously from breeding.

Since sid is the only guy doing anything right now i was wondering if maybe hes just getting overzealous and tryin to get them all or if she has finally 'come of age'

if so, do they normally lay soon after?

i havent had muscovy in years so i dont remember, and nibbles is my oldest girls and she just started laying this year.

It could be that he's a bit overzealous. I have found that juvenile drakes are much rougher on the ducks than mature drakes.

That's what i was leaning towars, seems like everytime i turn around he's all over the oldest hen...starting to get on my nerves, lol.
