Breeding for darker skin on Silkies

With the white Silkies, do you breed to a good black to try and get darker skin? Or for what reason do people breed whites to black?

Good breeders don't breed white to black because you don't know what the white is hiding and you don't know what color chicks you will get.


My whites have excellent dark skin, so I would say, find a white that has the dark skin and breed that.
