Ok. So I ended up with a bunch of bantam frizzle Cochins this past winter. Longish story. Anyway. Cute as can be but I can see that I definitely have 1 hen and a bunch of Roos. Yes I have separated them. If I want to breed more frizzles does it work both ways—frizzle roo to a reg feathered any other breed bantam vs frizzle hen to bantam any reg feathered roo?
1. Will both matings result in about 50% frizzle Chicks?
2. Will I need to be sure none of the flat feathered offspring ever get bred to another frizzle?
3. Should i stick with other Cochin bantams?
4. can I breed the frizzle Cochin Bantam Roos to other breeds of bantams like Millie fluers?

TIA

It will work both ways and flat feathers descended from the pair can be bred to frizzles too. Drizzling is dominant, they either have it or don't. Statistically it's 50% will have it and the rest wont, but in small batches that number can vary wildily.

You can breed to other breeds, and get frizzled mixes

Thank you! I suspected that would work either way but didn’t know and just didn’t know about flat feathered descendants. I appreciate the help. So flat feathered descendent won’t throw frizzle offspring ever?
