I am looking for simple and easy to build breeding pen designs. I have both bantam and large fowl I need to pedigree breed. Looking for ideas on different setups and designs to get started. I have lots of tin, a bit of spare wood, all kind of hardware cloth, welded wire, chicken wire, etc. As well as bird netting and large PVC. I'm toying with the idea of being able to move them frequently so they are on fresh grass but I also like my birds being protected from the elements bc it's healthier and they stay cleaner if they aren't getting rained on And muddy. I like the idea of being able to walk in them to save my back too but I've also seen ones with flip tops done mostly with tin and wire that were nice too. I think those were on the APA YouTube channel for Mike Omega New Hampshire breeding program if I remember right. If they are going to be built where I can't walk into them I would need outside access to everything and catching the birds if needed would need to be simple and not a total nightmare. I have a repurposed trampoline right now that I can't stand having to catch birds from 😆 The problem I've found with the outside access stuff is figuring out how to build it with limited knowledge of carpentery.

I like simple with as little cuts as possible and for it to look fairly decent. Don't want a bunch of eyesores. I already have enough of those that I'm trying to replace due to my Limited building skills 🤣

Would love to just see pictures of what other breeders have set up for their program to get some ideas. Also need new grow out and brooder ideas and would like to incorporate some broody hen brooders too

We’re going to start raising wyandottes, we decided to go with hoop coops, we built one last weekend and started another one this weekend, the fourteen foot long ones, we are going to make two breeder pens, we put a door on each end.

My issue with the hoop coops is the cost of the cattle panel new. They do seem easy enough to build but when I last looked into prices on the panel they were outrageous
