I am designing my breeding barn. I was wondering if a 3x3x2 coop, with a 3x5 run, would be big enough for standard chickens to be in and mate. Any opinions?

My plan would be for a pair. If i wanted to increase it by a foot, so 3x4x2, i would loose two feet for my incubator...
Oh the decisions

Is the height of it okay? The run would be about 6' tall.

The height is fine, just make sure the roosts aren't too high. To add some more space would be nice, but not if it would crowd the chicks. Would you be able to free range at all? This usually helps with tight spaces.

This would be my breeding barn, my laying flock free ranges all the time. I might extend the runs...

Ok, well I think if you took some preventative measures, like give them treats/ grass, and keep their area clean, and keeping an eye on how they are behaving, it might work =)
