I just received 15 barred rock eggs to put in the 'bator. Eggs were all collected the same day so I must assume that they are from different hens (but not sure how many roosters). If I want to keep a few hens (pullets) and a rooster from this batch of 15, assuming that they might all have the same "daddy rooster", would it be ok to let him breed the hens....or are chickens like dogs and other animals and would this cause potential genetic problems/defects???
