Yes!! That would be so fun! I’ve been breeding silkies to lavender bantam ameraucanas. The crosses from that lay the cutest tiny blue/green eggs, and they carry lavender. Then I have some paint colored chicks that are from a lavender bantam/silkie crossed back to a silkie (they are 1/4 lav bantam) so we will see if they lay a blue egg. I might test one of those paint boys for both the blue egg gene and the lav gene. The girls I will probably just wait and see once they lay. Attaching a pic of the banty eggs - the lightest one is the purebreds lav bantam and the other two are 1/2 silkie. And here’s a pic of my grow outs. The lavender chicks - 3 of them are lavender silkies that I got from shipped eggs. And 3 are the 1/2 silkie 1/2 ameraucana bantams crosses which I also had shipped… they will all help to speed the project along!!
