55 flowery leghorns in the pictures are wild type, barred, mottled, silver leghorns.

A person could make the birds from using the following ancona and crele leghorns ( ancona would have to carry silver).

You could use a white leghorn, ancona and light brown leghorns.

or barred rock, ancona and light brown leghorn.

Silverudd used white leghorn and light brown leghorn to make his 55 flowery- His white leghorns carried silver, mottling and barring.

The first birds he produced were gold (1955): later on he developed the silver variety (1960).

So Silver duckwing, plus the mottling gene and barring makes for almost white males? Very interesting. I think I might want to create this color in a different breed.
