Brinsea Mini Advance Periodic Cooling?

I have the first version of the Brinsea Mini Advance incubator. The instruction manual suggests turning on periodic cooling on Day 7 and turn it off on Day 18. I am wondering if you follow the instructions and do that, or do you turn it on starting Day 1, or not at all? Just curious what other people have done and what your results were.

I also have the mini advance. I have never done periodic cooling.

I have used periodic cooling for 60 and 120 minutes for the entire process and have had good to great hatch rates.
