Hi. After several unsuccessful attempts at purchasing an inexpensive incubator, I finally broke down and paid for a used Brinsea 40 Octagon which is like two 20s attached. I'll be setting eggs tomorrow. The incubator didn't come with the metal dividers and the past owner said that they broke his eggs so he tossed them. Does anyone have other ideas as to what to use? I'm only incubating 8 eggs as I want to check to make sure the incubator works before "wasting" eggs. Many thanks!

Could you cut the bottom out of an egg carton. Then cut the carton to the size of the plastic tray.

Put eggs in this. Should hold them steady enough to turn without rolling.

That’s a great idea!!! I just came home from buying rulers hoping I could get them to fit, but I like your idea better. Do you think there’s any benefit to using plastic, styrofoam or cardboard egg holders?

I would say cardboard would be best as it less likely to 'sweat' or allow humidification to settle on it xxx
