I assembled my Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance last night, it is running and maintaining perfect temps and humidity. My question is this How do you suggest placing 18 eggs inside the bator? I am not sure how to contain them so they are not rolling when it automatically turns.

This is my first attempt and I want to give them the best possible shot. Anyone who has used this bator please if you could give me some tips!

thank you soooooo much!!

Did you ever figure out the best way to place your eggs? I am having that exact same dilemma right now and don't know how to best place the eggs without them rolling around.

You are using the egg dividers, right? I generally try to pick eggs close to the same size to put in one row, and place the dividers in the slots that are closest to, but not tight against the eggs. I always have an incubator full, but if I didn't I would try to add the eggs where they were the closest to the center, where my temperatures are the most stable. There is always space at the end of the rows. Some people cut sponges to fill the gap, but I just fold pieces of paper towel until they are thick enough to keep the eggs from tipping over sideways. You don't want the egg dividers to be squeezing the eggs. A little rocking from front to back when the unit turns itself is fine. Every time I add water, I will rotate the egg tray 180 degrees, just because mine always runs a little cooler at the back
