Hi all. I just recieved my very first incubator. It is a brinsea mini advanced. I will be starting it up tomorrow and putting eggs in it tomorrow, but before I do that I was wondering if anybody has anything to say about the brinsea incubator tht could help me have a good hatch rate. I have heard it is a high quality incubator, so I guess I will find out if this is true. Basically, I am askig for any helpful pieces of advice that could help me have a succesful incubation. Thanks so much!

I love mine!

Two tips: Cut a circle of that rubberized shelf lining stuff to the size of the turning plate (with a hole in the center for the water reservoir) to use during lockdown, when the eggs come out of the turner. This will give a non slip surface for the chicks, plus it's easy to wash and use over and over.

The second tip: you might need to change the pre-set turning angle to 15. Eggs in mine did not roll but skootched along until I changed the turning angle. This was as recommended by a Brinsea representative.

I will never own another Brinsea product. They are very poor quality for the money spent.

Dan
