Mom hatched 2 chicks a week ago. We have a big fenced in area for them and she takes them out to forage.
we have another mom sitting on 7 eggs, varying stages of fertilization. Shes under a sagebrush. I tried moving her to a safer area but she left. I've successfully moved 4 sets of moms to safer areas without issue Any ideas?
I'm assuming with there then being probably 3 weeks ago difference I'll need to separate the two sets of moms? I had to do this last year.

I don't see any reason you would need to separate them. Each hen will mother her own chicks and one shouldn't affect the other.

When you say "sitting on 7 eggs, varying stages of fertilization", do you mean varying stages of incubation? If so, that can be a problem because a couple days after the first hatch, she will abandon any unhatched eggs to mother the live chicks.
There aren't stages of fertilization. They're fertile or they aren't.

Yes, I've had that happen. I know that if all chicks dont hatch within a few days we get rid of the remaining eggs. We had a mom reject and kill a chick last year.

If you have an incubator, you could slip the remaining eggs into it a couple days after they start to hatch when she comes off the nest.
Did you witness her killing the chick or did you find it dead?
Chicks just die, with no fault of outside forces.
