So today the broiler chick area was a tad stinky..so I decided to clean it out.. Them chicks are meaty! I grabbed one and was like wow your a huge chick for no feathers!
they looked about normal chick size..but my eyes must have been fooling me. My Isa browns might be Rhode island reds....I mean I know they are really that breed anyway..but you know what I mean. Guess I'll have yet another color to my flock. Still cant find the golden laced wyandottes that somehow were floating around.
I was looking at my broilers and it looks like I have 5 female and 5 males according to the "tail feather" sexing lol. I also see that one of them has a pretty gross looking vent too. I checked and the vent is clear so I am just going to watch it. I might have to wash her butt in some warm water. Ahh the life of a chick mom.
