I candled my duck egg today and it has finally broken into the air cell, and every website i visit says it should start to hatch but I haven't even heard it peeping through the egg and I'm just wondering, now that it's made its way into the air cell. How much longer till it hatches???

If it has internally pipped then expect it to pip within 24 hours...also, DO NOT CANDLE ANYMORE....you really shouldnt have messed with it, it needs the humidity to stay high...i'm sure you know that, but dont mess with it anymore.

You should not open the bator for the last 3 days of hatching. Close the lid and do not open again for 72 hours. By candling, you probably slowed the bird down. Make sure the humidity is up and leave it be. Hatching can be 12-72 hours from pip to hatch, so if no pip, give it more time.
