Went to check on broody today (day 17) and she was not on the nest and one of the eggs had broken. I cleaned it up and threw it out. When I came back she was back on the nest. Some of the other eggs had residue from the broken egg on them. Should I wash them to protect the hatching chicks from bacteria?
