Hello,
A few days ago, I came into possession of 2 White Sultan Cockerels, they are around 5 months old. They were given to me to help nurse them back to health. They both had broken blood feathers on their feet and the smaller of the two was having trouble walking (The smaller one had many more broken feathers than the older one), I thought this was the problem and pulled all of the broken feathers. The process went smoothly and the follicles closed quickly with minimal bleeding. The next day the larger boy was back to normal, however the smaller one had not improved at all. I figured he might just be sore and was hoping he would improve after a few days of rest. So far, we have seen no improvement whatsoever and its been around 4 days since pulling the feathers. I noticed that it is only one foot and his toe on that foot seems to be a bit swollen/raised around the middle joint of his middle toe. I checked his other foot and it did not have the problem so I was assuming this could be the root of the issue? Another thing I noticed was that ton the other foot he has a very weirdly growing toenail, Is the toenail just growing wrong? Is the bone twisted? I was also wondering if I should splint the raised one in case it is broken or to make him more comfortable? He does seen comfortable moving the foot with the twisted nail and I have noticed not issues with it, both were vaccinated for Mareks too so I didn't think that was the cause. He is still perky and eating/drinking. Thanks in advance for any advice or help!

Here are a few pics of the foot and the boys-
Just some notes-
1.) Pic on is the possibly broken toe, it is the middle toe
2.)Pic two is his toenail on the other foot, it doesn't seen to be hurting him
3.) Underside of his foot with a possibly broken toe
4.) Pic four is the injured guy, (The foot he is holding forward is the injured one)
5.) Pic five is both of the boys, smaller one in the back is the one having trouble
6.) Pic six is just another pic of the underside of the foot
