Today a couple of my hens got into a 10 second tiff and after that one of them seemed kind of shocked. She then began limping around. I put her in the coop and later found her panting (it's 90 degrees and humid here) so thinking she was over heating I took her in the house. She is eating and alert but still panting. Her vent is pulsing and tail up. She just passed an egg but still panting can't stand and seems restless. Any ideas?

Well I no longer think she's egg bound. I brought her outside and she is trying very hard to "run" to her favorite spot in the yard but is clearly gimpy. She can move her leg up and down and grasp my fingers with her feet. Is it broken or damaged in some way? What do I do to help her? Please help...she's my baby.

Oh, she's all set-up in the living room with a pillow, fresh towels, food, water and lots of treats. I don't know that she'll even let us know she's all healed up with her royal treatment.

So she is still doing well (alert, eating drinking) but tonight when I took her outside she could barely move more than one hop. Could it be that she's just stiff? Is there anything I can give her to ease her pain? I read somewhere to dissolve 5 aspirin in a gallon of water but I can't imagine that doing much.

If she is sitting all day doing nothing maybe she is stiff.......try holding her and gently massageing her gimpy leg extend / retract it and see if that helps gets the stiffness out.......Aspirin maybe it will help I have no experience with it. LOL
