Broken leg?

I have a 16-18 week old chicken thats right leg is sticking out at an odd angle. She is eating and drinking and limping around the yard, but it definitely looks like it's dislocated or something. She has always been the kind of bird that lays in the grass a lot and wonder if it's genetic. Either way. She is young and part of a pair that appear to be in love. They are inseparable. So....against my better fiscal judgement I made a vet appointment. I don't want her to be in pain and I don't want to cull her or have her live a life being laim.
Am I crazy for paying $108 for the visit?

Look on the bottom of her foot first. My birds acted like that when they had bumblefoot because the infection hurt them too much to stand on the leg. Clean off the foot and look for a black scab on the pad.
