Broken Neck? Pls Help

Quote:
Wow, I've been reading Kathy's thread & am now afraid it may be botulism. I have a compost bin that is usually covered but I've been ill myself lately (actually preggers, morning sickness) and have not replaced the cover for a few days. I originally covered it because the girls had learned to fly up and into it but I had no idea it could make them sick. Although it does make sense, eating rotten food and all. I just fell hrrible that I may have caused this...or at least been able to prevent it.

I'll have hubby cover the bin in the morning and maybe start one of those flushes I read about......

She allowed us to spoon feed (& water) her for several days then started showing signs of improvement...lifting head, cackling, etc.

She's now rollicking around the yard like there was never anything wrong. Thanks goodness none of my other chickies came down with it & we now keep the compost covered at ALL times

Thanks so much for your help everybody!!!
