Broken or just bruised?

Last night our neighbor called and said a fox wasn’t out roaming so I collected all of my birds, and as I was closing the door to the run one of the babies toes was caught.
Today she will walk, but is limping, and it looks bruised. I tried to take a couple photos but she’s not super cooperative. Should I just keep an eye on it for now? It’s hot today here in VT (next few days the heat index is supposed to be over 100) so they’re all finding cool spots and sitting, but she has gotten up to drink and wander around some. Thank you :)

It could be either. It doesn’t look swollen so that’s good. I’d keep an eye on it personally. Not much you can do if it is broken. Maybe make a shoe for it—but I doubt it will do much good. Chickens can lose a toe and still be fine.
