Broken toe nails!!Cause Limping??

I have a limping hen and I noticed her toe nails on one foot are broken, could this be causing her limping? They are not bleeding or anything just very short on one foot. How long does it take for them to grow? Should I leave her locked up? Which she hates.

Broken toe nails can hurt since the quick is sensitive. Are you sure there are so scabs on the foot which may indicate bumble foot?

No there are no cuts or nothing, foot looks great besides the broken toenails.
