Brood hen is doing an amazing

Hi,
I am new to this. My Buff is setting and has hatched two eggs but two chicks have peeped (poked their beak out), I hope I have the term right, and died in the shell why is this happening? I have found them beak down could that be the problem? Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately this does happen sometimes. Not sure why though. Maybe some of the more experienced members can tell you.

i just had my first broody hatch 10 eggs there would have been 11 but she/he did not make it out it was very very very sad. Sally sunshine has some threads about helping baby chicks hatch they are very helpfull try and find her threads or posts! Good Luck!!
