Brooder addition

I built an addition to keep my younger birds safe

Looks very good.
One advantage of your placement is the easier integration of your young with current flock. They get to see each other all throughout. You may consider in time to create an opening from brooder into run in such..... Small chickens would be able to enter run.
Small chickens could run back into safety of brooder area.
Large chickens would not be able to enter brooder area in pursuit.

You should replace the chicken wire with hardware clothe as chicken wire doesn’t deter predators.
