brooder question

Hi,
I'm looking on the net to buy an infra red lamp for my brooder...question is - do i get one with a dimmer switch?

I would answer that question based on price. If you get a brooder lamp from the feed store, around $15-20. then just adjust the height above the birds. If it's too hot, raise the lamp, and vice versa. ...but the dimmer would be kind of cool.
