Brooder set up

I'm putting my brooder in a closed in wood shed till it warms up any idea what I can do to keep the smell from soaking in the wood floor I was thinking about putting that styrofoam insulation down under the brooder and putting pine shavings ontop of it?

Buy a cheap plastic tarp and put that down first. Take it out and hose it off when you are done and save it for next time.
