I am having trouble getting the temperature up to 95. It is at 89. Will that be ok? I am using a work light instead of a heat lamp... can I get a heat lamp at Lowe's or Home Depot?

How are your chicks acting? Are they hovering under the light at all, if so, they are cold. I couldn't find a heat lamp at lowes/HD...do you have a Tractor supply store nearby or a farm/feed store?

buy a red heat lamp 150w or 250watts most hardwere stores have them and then make it so you can move it up and down It getts easer when the temps drop back. pura vida
