I am fit to be tied. DD's 4-H pheasants are 5 weeks old. We have nine of them in a large cage. Been "meaning to" finish our 12x12 flight pen this week. The kids & I are going away for a few days & it'll be easier for DH to care for them w/o a brooder to clean. So DD & I toiled into the evening, last night, to finish the flight pen. Now it is raining!

The pheasants will have an extra large Dogloo inside the pen. They could get out of the rain. Would it hurt them to be outside, now? It has been in the 60s and 70s, tempwise.

Five weeks is a little early for outside. Temps are a bit cool too, if that's the day-time highs. I put mine out around 6-7 weeks old. My birds, especially ringnecks and turkeys, rarely use shelter from the rain. They just walk around in the rain and go about their business. A very heavy downpour will drive them into the brush pile, but they never use any type of structure.
