Letting our hen sit on her 5 eggs for the first time. Her and us.... Is there anything I need to do, should do? Or will she do all the work after they hatch? (feed, water & care)

Thanks
Alice

What kind of set-up do you have? Is she free to come and go with her chicks as she wishes or do you have them locked in a coop and run where you provide all the foor and water? We all have different set-ups and conditions. Unless I know what your conditions are, I don't feel I can gve an honest answer to your question. If your set-up is right, a broody will usually do a great job taking care of her chicks.

I will give you some links that might help. They might help answer your questions and may give you some information you need. In the first link, if your set-up is different than hers, much of what she says will not directly apply to your specific situation, but I think she does a great job of giving general information.
