I have 2 male runner ducks. I want some females to go with them. But this is what I need info for. I want female ducks that will go broodie. I don't care if my babies are mixed or not. I just want some ducks on my pond that will reproduce and set their own eggs. What breed hens can I get to go with my male runners.

Runners will go broody - just not as likely as other breeds. I have all three of my breeders go broody late last year. The other runner females I currently have laying are not from breeding from- so I collect their eggs every day- but they have also shown broody tendancies as well.

Muscovys, Mallards, Calls, Bantam ducks, most ducks have the potential to go broody if they want to
