My silkies have been broodie for awhile, so I let them sit on some duck eggs since my ducks haven't seemed to want to. Anyway, today I looked under her and a little body pops out! They seem perfectly happy together. Should I take it out and put it in its own place with a warming light or wait for more? I am keeping the rest of the flock away from them for safety.

I wouldn't like to say but I know some have been successful with hens raising ducklings.
I've raised a duckling with chicks and now have a much better dynamic between my ducks and chucks - on the whole it was a bit west side story before I added the group of unlikely friends.
I expected them to be a separate group in gang war gardens, but as it happens they've brought everyone a bit closer together.

So from that perspective I would leave her with them and monitor how things progress!

I'm positive that others will have a different outlook though!

Good luck and of course congratulations :)

As long as your Silkie is taking her mothering responsibilities serious then I'd leave the duckling I've see on here quite a few using chickens to hatch ducklings and the mama always do a good job.

The two sisters are doing a great job so far, so I will leave well enough alone. Thank you for your opinions!

I concur!

Here they are! It's so darn cute! Bounces all over her "Mothers"! I put some ground up food and water next to them and it wasn't long before they showed "Chuck" how to eat. I have to video them today, it's so fun to watch!
