Broodiness or sick?

Hello,

I've got a white rock who's been sitting in the nest a great deal, making weird noises and appearing lethargic. When I kick her out, she sits around on the ground for about a minute, then is up and running around like everything's fine and dandy. Is this "broodiness" or could she just be sick. If the former, what can I do about it?

Sounds like broodiness to me.

Put her in a wire cage with food and water but ni nesting material this will break the broodiness!

If she is staying on the nest all night instead of roosting as normal, she is broody.
