Is this serious? She has been broody for about 10 days and her eggs disappeared in the hen house so I moved her into the house in a box in an unheated bedroom and put newpapers on the floor and bowls of food and vit/electrolyte water. I put about 7 standard size eggs under her but she has pushed out all but 3. The last one she pushed out I opened and it showed no sign of anything growing, but I am unexperienced. She has not come out each day only about every other day to eat a bit and drink and have watery brown diahreah. Yesterday I fed her some scrambled egg and yogurt, thinking it would help the diareah but she only ate what I held under her beak in her box and did not come out for the rest. This morning I saw more diahreah (sp?) and fed her some hard-boiled egg and yogurt but don't know if she ate much of it, as I put it in her box because of her reluctance to get off the nest. Is she sick? Some of my outside roos are also showing signs of sort of loose bowels but nothing like watery and they seem to be fine. My other broody girl, a silkie is having the normal "poop bombs".
How worried should I be? Should I move her to a bit warmer area? Any ideas what is wrong? Is it connected to being broody or is it something else entirely?
Thanks for any help.
