About a month ago one of my Buff Orpinton's went broody. About a week later one of my Buff Brahma's went broody. One day I noticed my Buff Orpington looked like she was attacked. She was still sitting on her eggs and it looked like another hen pecked her face. Repeatedly. Nothing serious. All her wounds are healing nicely. I think she wouldn't get out of the nesting box when another hen wanted to lay an egg. I have gotten rid of the hen I think did it (I had other problem's with her too). My Buff Orpington isn't broody anymore. Her sister is now broody and sitting on her eggs. Could an attack like the one she endured break a broody? Also, is it normal for the combs/wattles to go pale when they are broody?

Next Friday is hatch day!!
