I have a hen who has stayed broody for several weeks despite taking all eggs that ended up under her. I felt sorry for her and decided while buying feed today to sneak a baby under her. I picked up a Black Australorp about 2 weeks old and slipped it under her. I think it worked! She is being protective of her and baby is under mama's wing or even on her back. It did my heart good.
