Well my bobwhites just started laying last week but the past few days everytime i come back from work I find a male sitting on the eggs, if the females lay on two places the male sits in some for a while and then he switches, I dont know if hes gone broody ( I dont even know if thats posible) but before I would get close to their coop and they will all scatter, but now he just sits there on the nest till I touch him is when he moves, Could he be broody?

Stranger things have happened... There's a lady on here that has a male ringneck that not only broods but sucessfully hatches eggs... Like they say its a mixed up jumbled up shook up world....

a broody male quail...and a broody male pheasant..... interesting ....HU i wish mine would atleast start calling and whistling much less brood them.....

its possible. last year my bobwhites hatched 12 chicks, and right now he's sitting on them again. I have large coops though, really natural, and they made there own nest. however, its really rare
