Broody business is new to us!

Well, we received our chick order this morning from Meyer Hatchery. We ordered 2 Light Brahmas and 2 Delawares. One of the Brahmas came with a broken leg so it is not going to make it. I am so sad!! It is such a sweet chick. The other 3 are very healthy and lively. I had hoped our broody leghorn would adopt them, but we rushed it in our excitement and she did not like it at all!! So...we will raise them separately until they are larger and then have them in an enclosure within our chicken yard. This is a pretty traumatic hobby! So much drama!! By the way, we checked again and the eggs she is sitting on are fertile!! This is going to be interesting in about a week!
