Hi all,

Acquired some hatching eggs yesterday and plonked them under our broody. If all goes well, what do we need to do when they hatch?

Are there also any tips about anything we need to do different while she is sitting?

Errrm, complete noob to this. Had our chickens just over a year and have lost a couple in that time. Didn't want to go through the whole integration thing again (was a nightmare with them fighting last time) so figured hatching eggs would be the way to go.

I've got chick crumb but need to know if Mum will sort them out when they hatch or will she just ignore them?

Cheers all

Here's a link with some broody info: Working with Broody Hens
Hope this helps; best of luck!
