Broody Chicken sitting on Turkey nest?!?!?

Has anyone ever had a broody chicken incubate a clutch of turkey eggs? We kept waiting for our turkey hen to take up the position and apparently one of the chickens was thinking the same thing. One of my EE hens has taken up to sitting on a clutch of 5 turkey eggs. Boy is she going to get a surprise if they hatch!

That's cool! Never happened to me as I don't have turkeys but I have actually heard that being raised by a chicken could make the turkeys a lot smarter!!

I once gave a Bourbon Red egg to a banty hen. She did an excellent job hatching and raising what turned into a beautiful BR tom.

Well a couple of days ago I guess my turkey hen was done laying, so kicked the chicken out and took over the nest of turkey and chicken eggs. I need to candle eggs in a few more days out there. She's got at least 12 turkey eggs in the nest.

Yes, I have let many chickens hatch turkey eggs. I don't discriminate.
