I currently have two broody muscovies, one broody bantam fav, one broody golden laced cochin & one broody black sumatra.

However, I need to move them all to chick-friendly quarters within the next week or so because we'll be on vacation when the ducklings are due to hatch!

They are all on muscovy eggs I purchased from a breeder back east to put into my flock as well as some of my cayuga duck eggs...

Anyway--we're about 1/3 done with the coop remodel and I'm hoping to somehow incorporate some broody bins into the coop design so I can put the broodies in there & leave them to hatch the chicks/ducklings....I was thinking something stackable--like against one wall?

Something like this, but not as tall and maybe two or three coops high?

Hey, that's awesome! Very good ideas, both of them. I'd love to have something like that set up. I'm always integrating new chickens into the larger flock and while I've never had any injuries, it never hurts to be cautious.
