One of my hens went broody. We decided to let her sit and hatch them. We had four hatch, unfortunately one was trampled. So we have three ducklings. First hatch was April 22, last was April 25. There are some eggs that still haven’t hatched yet. We are not sure how to tell if they are good or not. There is no smell but they are starting to look dark in spots so I am thinking they are bad but I am not positive. I have found new eggs in the nest. Should I take the eggs from her? Keep letting her sit? How can I tell if the older eggs are viable or dead?

If the eggs are still viable than you will need to pull the chicks from her that have already hatched. 24-48 hours after they hatch she will abandon the nest to care for those that have already hatched.
