Hi .This have been so helpfull forum.my kwakker ducks have gone broody both girls started a week apart .we litraly build a new pen around the second moms nest as we lost some chickens to preditors.we put the new ducklings into the pen with mom our drake didnt mind the bucklings at all so we let him be.the second mom are still on eggs taking brakes in the pen with no problem.The past 2 days she have attacked the ducklings .should i keep them seperate till both batches of babys are over a month. what could cause this.?
It's territorial. She is trying to eliminate competition for her ducklings. Poultry society is frequently harsh.
