Broody duck

What kind of ducks make the best mothers? I've had only one that stayed the course for hatching, several broods, and was a great mother - a little Khaki Campbell.

I'd rather not use a chicken, since that leads to massive behavioural problems later on.

I don't have hands on experience with that, but have read up on it. We recently acquired some Ancona duck with the hopes of them later hatching our runner duck eggs. They are said to make great mothers.

Although the most commonly mentioned duck was muscovy, by a country mile.

My Calls make good mother's. Most Breeds can be good mothers it just depends on the Hen.
