broody eggs hatched!!! *update, pics!*

went to go check on my broody yesterday and she had a little fluffybutt under her! there were 5 eggs under her altogether, one smelt very rotten so i chucked it. 2 eggs still under her and another chick hatched today. so 2 chicks and 2 eggs. will check on her tomorrow. pics tomorrow

CONGRATS on the hatch!!!

Just a broody hatch comment, I have had eggs hatch as much as seven days apart. One big clue from the hen that she is through setting is the big nasty post hatch poop. If you are not familiar with it, you will not mistake it!

okay, so i smelt a bad smell on one of the other eggs and it did smell very rotten it had brown patches on it aswell, like smudges and they weren't there before (it wasn't poop), so that leaves it down to one egg. candled it and it wasn't even fertile! LOL! i dont usually annoy the chicken until her eggs hatch. so i didnt really get a chance to candle.
