Broody gone bad

So we tried hatching using a broody hen last year and it didn't work. It didn't work because she wasn't aggressive so I moved her, then she wouldn't sit on her eggs. Sadly all of her eggs ended up getting destroyed.

This year we 41 more chickens and a second coop & enclosure. In this separate flock I have two hens (both Buff Orpingtons) who went broody. I decided not to move them out of their nesting boxes, but every day hens will lay on top of them because they are sitting there so there are always more eggs then the day before. Some will move out of the back (there's a small but large enough gap) into the adjacent box and we'll have to throw them away. After 23 days and no hatch 1 of the girls got up. The other remains diligent, but today (after 26 days) I took all of the eggs out from underneath her to see if I could hatch them. I don't know how to do this though and I need help. I've looked and found many ideas online, but I remain confused.

How do I make some kind of incubator for these eggs (I have both a heat lamp and a heating pad) and how can I tell how far along these eggs are?

Please advise!
Thanks!

I'm going to be making this. A lot of people have said it works. Watch the video to the end though for mods.
