Broody goose

how do i make a goose not broody? i have a goose who REALLY wants to hatch something out....at first she was laying on an empty nest then there were 2 eggs in the nest and she has been sitting on them since but i would really like to get some eggs from her before she hatches anything out....what do i do?

The only thing you can do that I know of... is keep taking the eggs from her. I had a couple of geese do this last year. I would have to physically lift the goose up and take her egg daily. I did get bit occasionally. Geese will stop laying when they feel they have enough to sit on. After doing this for a while, mine would lay an egg and go about their business as usual.

thats the thing tho....she laid 2 eggs a while ago and i took them but then she went broody and laid on an empty nest..she will not lay anymore eggs and i dont know what to do to make her not be broody....i take the egss that shes laying on everyday...the ducks lay eggs an she lays on them
