Broody guinea hen?

They are all Pied Pearl Greys, I hatched about 300 of them this year, lol.

That's very odd that's what you hatched out of 2 Coral Blue Hens and a pure White male... you should have had all Pied Coral Blues with maybe a few other random colored Pieds showing up

Hello Everyone! Very good information on the broody guinea hens. I am worried also. Our female, Gladys, has been sitting on her eggs 24/7. I am not there during the day so I don't know if she leaves the nest at all. I have put food and water right beside her, but she has not touched it. Should I leave her be and let nature take it's course? I have tried to move her from the nest, but she won't budge. I don't want her to die. Please advise.

She has been sitting on her nest (in some bushes on the ground in my fenced yard) since the 4th of May, but she gets up and hangs out with the male guinea, eats, and drinks for about 45 minutes once or twice a day.  Is this normal and will the eggs still hatch if she is off them for that long?

Thanks

PS I plan on moving her into a brooding pen in a couple of days when I will put some chicken eggs under her as well (good timing I hope).

I have the odd guinea hens. I can move the eggs from under some bush to inside of their pen. However, I will lock the hens in the pen. Peeps has been an outstanding source for info and help. I was incubating all of the eggs but, when all the incubators were full, I had to resort to plan B and move the eggs. To my surprise it did work. My not so smart hen made her nest right next to a path that is frequented by raccoons. The nest and hen were not going to make it where they were originally so I didn't have anything to lose by moving the eggs. I put them into the pen and in a big nesting box with hay. I put sticks and leaves around and ontop of the wooden box to make it feel more out in the wild.

All the best.

Please can someone with experience help me out please!
We have a broody guinea hen that has been sitting on various eggs for about 3 months now. We finally got her out of the barn where she lay on chicken eggs/ duck eggs and her own unfertilized eggs. She would sit on them but not have a clue what to do with them - I rescued a duck that was half out of her shell that she had pushed out about a foot away from her and it managed to survive (it's called Miracle

We have just hatched out 11 day old ducklings and she is hanging around their pen making a noise. What exactly is the noise a broody guinea hen makes? It would be lovely if she would brood the ducklings has anyone else any experience of this happening? I am worried she may turn on them so reluctant to introduce them to each other without some more info. Thanks!
